FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about ordering, files, production, and pressing.

Ordering

What is the difference between Build a Gang Sheet and Upload Your Gang Sheet?
Build a Gang Sheet uses our online builder where you upload individual design files and arrange them on a sheet. Upload Your Gang Sheet is for customers who already have a fully built, print-ready gang sheet file and just want to send it directly to production.
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
No minimum order. You can order a single transfer or a full roll. We serve both small creators and high-volume print shops.
Can I order a test print before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We recommend ordering a Sample Pack first if you are a new customer. This lets you verify print quality, color output, and pressing results on your specific garments and heat press before committing to a larger order.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
Orders enter production quickly. Contact us immediately at info@dtfprovider.com if you need to make changes. We cannot guarantee modifications once production has started.

File Setup

What file format should I use?
PNG is preferred for individual designs and gang sheet builder orders. PNG or PDF are accepted for upload orders. JPEG is not recommended because it does not support transparency.
What DPI (resolution) do I need?
300 DPI at the actual print size is ideal. 150 DPI can work for larger prints. Files at 72 or 96 DPI will produce blurry, pixelated results and are not acceptable.
Does my design need a transparent background?
Yes. DTF printing applies white ink underneath your design. Any background color — including white — will be printed. Use a fully transparent PNG background. Check your design on a dark background to spot any leftover pixels or fringe.
What causes a white halo or grain around my design after pressing?
This is caused by semi-transparent or very low-opacity pixels at the edges of your design. DTF powder adheres to any ink, including near-invisible edge pixels. The fix is to clean up the edges in Photoshop or Illustrator before exporting. This is a file issue, not a production defect.
Will you edit my file if there are issues?
No. Files are printed as submitted. If you acknowledged a warning in the builder and clicked "Print Anyway", the file will be printed as-is. We strongly recommend reviewing your files carefully before submitting.

Production & Shipping

How long does production take?
Most orders are produced within 1 business day. Production begins after your order is confirmed and your file is validated.
How do you ship and how long does delivery take?
We ship via UPS Express. Estimated delivery within the U.S. is 1–3 business days after production is complete. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed by DTF Provider.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. A tracking number will be emailed to you when your order ships. Track your order directly at ups.com.

Pressing & Application

What are the recommended pressing settings?
Pre-press 5 seconds → 275°F for 8 seconds → medium-high pressure → hot peel immediately. See our full Pressing Instructions page for details.
What fabrics work with DTF transfers?
Cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, denim, fleece, and most standard apparel fabrics. DTF works on both light and dark garments. Avoid waterproof or specialty-coated fabrics.
How should I wash garments with DTF transfers?
Wash cold, inside out. No bleach or harsh detergent. Air dry is recommended. Avoid high-heat drying when possible.

Returns & Quality

Do you offer refunds or reprints?
All products are custom-produced. We do not offer refunds or exchanges except in cases of a verified production defect or error on our part. If you received an incorrect or defective item, contact us with photos and your order number.
My colors look different from my screen. Is that a defect?
No. Monitor calibration, color profiles, viewing conditions, and the printed substrate all affect perceived color. We do not guarantee exact color matching. For color-critical work, we recommend ordering a sample first.
Who is responsible for my uploaded artwork?
By placing an order, you confirm that you own or have the right to use all artwork submitted. DTF Provider is not responsible for any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property issues related to customer-submitted designs.
